Another
quarter ended and now we are one more quarter through the school year. Just
like the previous quarter, I gained a lot of new knowledge that I will surely be
needing in the near future. In this module we focused on Community-Based
research. CBR approaches are marked by three principles: Collaborative, Change-oriented
and Inclusive. It enterprise between researchers and community members. Validates
multiple sources of knowledge and promotes the use of multiple methods of discovery.
In most forms, CBR is participative and it is qualitative. I have learned so
many concepts about Community-based research and I was even able to formulate
or conduct my own. Yes, it was very difficult but In the end, just like most of
us, I managed to finish it.
This
quarter went fast and hard on me or probably on all of us. One of my main struggles
was losing my motivation and determination for my studies. There were just so
many things going on around me that impacted my studies and myself in general negatively.
During face to face, I used to hate the concept of waking up early just to go to
school but now I can finally relate to those students who go to school not only
to learn and be with their friends but also to escape what they call home. I
just feel really burned out and don’t want to do anything. All I wanted was to rest but I
had too many pending tasks to finish. I was really pressured with the number of
unfinished requirements I had to do that often lead to not accomplishing
anything (me cramming this at 1:35am
is not the vibe)
The only struggle I experienced with my ICT was keeping up. However, I managed this by not giving up (Idk if I should be proud :’) ) . Despite
being overwhelmed and pressured I pushed myself to accomplish it all and now I'm currently working on bringing back my excitement about finally going to school.
Moving on I will make sure to treasure all the knowledge I've learned, continue improving and finish this school year strong.
